Woke up this morning… with a smile on my face...

Miss Jill Scott was on my early morning playlist as I woke up singin’ “He Loves Me” and decided to play it in the background while I brushed my teeth, admiring the radiant glow of love on my face basking in grace, and messed around and found out she has a recently recorded Tiny Desk performance!

For some reason I woke up extremely energized, but also a bit sore… and I wasn’t sure if it was the Selena-inspired Zumba class session I went to last night that did it, or the fact that I woke up on a cold hard floor.

The juxtaposition in my life right now is insane, like who wrote this? I honestly don’t know whether to laugh or cry most days.

As I sit at a library computer beginning to feel like I’m finally piecing together some of the next steps of His divine plan, I honestly can’t help but to feel hopeful.

I don’t trust what my eyes see, I trust what I know in my heart.

Even though it’s hard… confusing as heck, frustrating at times, it’s not all bad and truly… and maybe the best of all– it’s temporary. The sufferings of this present time aren’t worth comparing to the glory that will be revealed in me.

I wholeheartedly have so many amazing things I’m looking forward to, despite the obstacles in front of me. And with a bit of newfound freedom of having full access to my limbs, and moving about, somewhat, with more ease, the possibilities of what could happen next in this satire that I call my life, seem limitless.

Something about being in this space forces spontaneity, quick wit, and resourcefulness, out of me. Which I suppose is mostly a good thing?

New places, new faces, new tastes (I hope you said it as intended, if not, try again. lol)

I really do feel like I’m losing my mind, but for some reason I think that’s a good thing. I told myself I’m losing the mind they gave me, so it’s gonna look a lil’ stupid before it looks better... just like any renovation.

And as I decided to sprawl out on an impromptu picnic in the park yesterday to eat my lunch prepared by heavenly hands who blessed me with a heaping serving of orange chicken, I heard the lyrics to a song over the park speaker that spoke to my spirit and quieted the noise in my head as contemplated if I needed to let out a good cry.. And he sang “...you gon' see there's a light at the end of the tunnel, keep your eyes on the road ahead. And if you're feeling lost in the night, it's okay to cry, just remember to hold your head. 'cause we're on our way to better... better's ahead...it gets worst before it gets better... but better's ahead... better days are comin'...

Girl if my life had a soundtrack, lol at this point I may have to make one and sell it on Amazon lol I'm tellin you God be speakin' - it was too on point. Exactly what I needed to hear exactly when I needed to hear it almost on cue like a movie scene lol

"Better Days Ahead" is ironically on the back of one of my favorite tees that I often get complimented on.

And I remind others, as I thank them, that “it’s prophetic.”
